Well I'm sure the answer to this is deregulation. Somehow regulation has these poor corporations over a barrel and less regulation (and of course less taxes) would help them to do much, much better at stopping this kind of thing.

@SallyAnn What constitutes a "druggie"? Far more people use alcohol and nicotine than all illegal drugs combined and arguably those drugs are more dangerous than the majority of the illegal drugs.

As a former smoker and former drug addict (drugs other than nicotine I mean), I think that making smoking illegal would be a totally counter productive move. The legality of drugs had no bearing on whether I used them in the past, hell I started smoking 4 years before I could legally do that.

Thanks for the laugh Robert. Irony doesn't always play well on the internets but you nailed that one. On a serious note, banning doesn't work for much of anything. If something is problematic you would have far more success with meaningful regulation than an outright ban.
